Benefits of Buying a Kraus Faucet

Kraus faucets boast holding three different places on Faucet Mag’s top kitchen faucets.  All of their faucets are also backed by a limited lifetime warranty.  Although some older reviews leave this company looking not that great, their response to customers is fantastic and improvements and updates in technology now give other brands a run for the money.

Speaking of money, Kraus faucets are almost all budget-friendly, so if you’ve been wanting to remodel and the bank account says no, consider buying Kraus.  Kraus also supports the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that helps support wounded veterans of the US armed forces.

Kraus commits to excellence using state of the art equipment and the latest technology in plumbing fixtures.  All Kraus faucets include patented Neopearl aerators and ceramic cartridges that eliminate leaks and dripping faucets.  They start with the finest materials available and end with superior packaging that safeguards their precious workmanship.  In researching Kraus, secure packaging is a point that comes up over and over.

In between start and finish, Kraus faucets go through manufacturing, a six-stage polishing, and an inspection.  After assembly, each faucet is tested with both air and water for steadfastness.  With the quality assurance that specializes in attention to detail, your faucet should arrive well made and packaged as expected.  If not, contact Kraus with any issues and they will be happy to help you out.  Please note that in order to receive any parts or services covered by warranty, you must have your original receipt.  I would suggest putting it in a safe place, just in case.  After all, it is a lifetime warranty.

Overall, Kraus is a dependable brand.  In researching these faucets, we found that a lot of customers originally shied away from this brand because it is less known and more inexpensive than other brands.  However, these same customers who ultimately bought Kraus were all pleasantly surprised.  As a bonus, they also saved money, sometimes up into the hundreds of dollars!

  • DUAL-FUNCTION SPRAYER: Choose from aerated stream and powerful spray to cover everything from rinsing to scrubbing. EASY-CLEAN RUBBER NOZZLES wipe clean with the swipe of a finger

The American based company with German engineering and assembling facility in Asia is again leading the contest with this spot-free, stainless steel kitchen faucet. Kraus is offering a combination of advanced technology and refined design in the Oletto Kitchen Faucet.

Using the dedicated button, you can switch between regular spray and shower spray.

The water flow rate is 1.75, and the maximum countertop thickness for installation of the faucet is 1.5 inches.  The supply lines are of standard 15 inches in length.

The faucet comes with a base plate of 10×2.5 inches, which is standard for three-hole sinks, but if you don’t want it, you can install without it. No matter what you decide, make sure you use silicone at the base to prevent water from entering and have a stable installation.

Due to the faucet’s particular design, the hot and cold water markings may create confusion because they are not the typical right and left but forward and backward. This is simply a matter of getting used to with time, though.

2. Kraus KPF-1673SFS Nolen Kitchen Faucet, Spot Free Stainless Steel

  • SPOT-FREE FINISH: All-Brite spot free stainless steel finish resists water spots and fingerprints for a cleaner looking faucet. Also available in Chrome/White and Spot Free Stainless Steel/Matte Black
  • DUAL FUNCTION spray head with an aerated stream for filling large pots and powerful spray for heavy-duty cleaning; EASY-CLEAN NOZZLES allow you to wipe away mineral build-up for a strong long-lasting flow
  • REACH PULL-DOWN TECHNOLOGY: Easy-retract 18-inch hose with swivel adapter allows you to flex, pivot, and reach every hard-to-get spot in the sink; MAGNETIC DOCKING snaps spray head into place for a secure hold. The premium ceramic catridge provides long-lasting leak-free use. DO NOT use any abrasive material, such as a scouring pad, brush, or steel wool, to clean the surface of your Kraus product

Kraus has concentrated on creating a user-friendly faucet with useful functionality and appearance.

All faucet parts are stainless steel made and spot-free, so no more scrubbing. Without using any abrasive substances, a simple wipe is absolutely sufficient. What stands out on this unit is the light brush finish on the border between shiny and brushed and making an elegant appearance.

The spray hose button allows you to change between aerated stream and powerful spray, depending on your needs. When you’ve activated one of these flow options, it stays active. You can use both hands in the sink while it flows, so no more trying to catch the water.

The single handle locks to the right and has a 90 degrees forward rotation. There are no minimum sink requirements, so it will be useful for any size of the sink. The lack of a magnetic docking that calls for manually pushing in the nozzle has raised some customers’ complaints.

3. Kraus KPF-1603SFS Artec Pro Spot Free Stainless Steel Finish 2-Function Commercial Style Pre-Rinse Kitchen Faucet

  • NEW – Just Arrived! SPOT-FREE FINISH: all-Brite spot free stainless steel finish resists water spots and fingerprints for a cleaner looking faucet. Also available in Chrome and Spot Free Stainless Steel/Matte Black
  • 2-FUNCTION FAUCET – POT FILLER provides aerated stream to fill large pots and pitchers; PRE-RINSE SPRAYER offers a powerful spray to blast away tough food residue.
  • MAGNETIC DOCKING snaps sprayhead back into place for a secure hold; EASY-CLEAN RUBBER NOZZLES allow you to wipe away mineral build-up for a strong long-lasting flow

Flexibility, multifunctioning, and quality materials are just some of the upsides of Kraus’s Artec Pro kitchen faucet. The easy to install aspect is another one that makes the product an excellent choice.

The high arc spout swivels at 360 degrees and allows you to easily wash your oversized cookware without having to acrobat and wastewater.

The magnetic docking on the spray head has obliterated one of the most common issues with the pull-down mechanisms, namely the hardships with putting it back in its place. The spout pulls out to 1.5-2 feet and swiftly snaps back in its place without causing any trouble.

The mounting hardware includes both 1.8 GPM and 2.2 GPM flow restrictors. The spray function stays on when you press it, allowing hands-free use.

It is highly recommended that the correct measurements be taken into account before purchasing, so you don’t find yourself unhappy with the lower faucet level. It may come in too low or too high and create a nuisance.

4.Kraus KPF-1640CH Nola Kitchen Faucet, KPF-1640 Chrome

  • Lead-Free All-Metal Construction
  • Dual Function Pull-Down Spray Head w/ Magnetic Docking
  • Codes/Standards Applicable: cUPC (UPC&CSA), NSF 61, NSF 372, AB1953, EPA, CALGreen, MASS, FTC, DOE, CEC and ADA
  • Superior Corrosion & Rust-Resistant Finish.1 or 3-Hole Installation w/ Optional 10″ Deck Plate
  • Faucet Height (inches):19.5

Once more, Kraus brings to our attention a stylish kitchen faucet with many functionalities and good quality.

The coil hose is removed from the arm to fully extend, reaching all the way to the bottom of your sink and its corners.  The horizontal bar facilitates guiding the nozzle around, but it can also be swung away if you need to wash any large objects.

The counter holes’ recommended size is 1 3/8 inches, which is a standard kitchen sink center hole. If you have some sort of obstruction behind your sink, that shouldn’t stop you because the faucet rotates to 360 degrees, so if you adjust the handle, that won’t compromise the mobility.

The Nola faucet is suitable for outdoor use as well. Hose flexibility is enough to reach the base and corners of a big 36-inch sink.

Unhooking the faucet from the arm is solutioned with a slight push upwards, which may cause some frustration until getting used to because it is not very standard.

5. Kraus KPF-1612SS Single Lever Pull Down Kitchen Faucet in Stainless Steel

  • Lead-free Brass construction with superior rust-resistant finish
  • Lite touch single-lever flow control
  • Heavy-duty commercial-style spring design

  • Powerful pre-rinse spray
  • Lead-Free Brass Construction
  • LiteTouch Single-Lever Flow Control

With the look and functionality of an industrial faucet, the KPF-1612 can add a professional touch to your personal kitchen.

Although smaller than what you usually see in a restaurant, it works exactly the same way.  You can stretch the faucet to reach virtually any corner of your sink or even to fill up buckets on the floor.  The 3-function sprayer features a spray, stream, and a pause setting with the touch of a button, which allows you to bust through dishes like a pro.  The faucet itself is easy to clean, including the rubber aerator that prevents hard water buildup.  This faucet is also easy to install and can be installed for left or right-hand operation.

The KPF-1612 is an extremely heavy-duty faucet.  If you’ve ever worked in a restaurant, you understand the benefits of a faucet with industrial design.

The last Kraus faucet on our list is the KPF-1670SFS Esina Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet. This unit maintains excellent water pressure, but it also allows various installation options depending on the system in your kitchen.

This model kitchen faucet has a neck that can swivel 360 degrees if you have enough room. You will receive all the necessary hardware with this unit. The tap is compatible with both countertop or sinks mounting. You will also receive a plate to cover holes in your existing sink. A significant advantage of this product is that when you switch to the spay option, the button stays locked in place with no need to hold it. Besides the powerful spray mode, you can also use a splash-free aerated stream.

This faucet is capable of maintaining good water pressure, but it can also work on a gravity-fed low-pressure system as long as the water system provides 60psi. The metal material of the nozzle is lightweight so that it does not fall from the neck of the faucet. All accents are copper color.

Is a Kraus Faucet Right for Your Home?

Kraus has a wide range of options and it’s easy to find one to suit your style, whether you have a small rustic kitchen or a large oasis-inspired bathroom. They continue to introduce new models with the latest technologies to improve durability and efficiency.

Despite the diversity of designs, there are a few consistent characteristics which set them apart from the competition:

1. Ceramic Cartridges

You can find ceramic cartridges in nearly all of Kraus’ faucets. A huge advantage with these is that they’re close to maintenance-free.

They’re also highly durable, keeping your faucet working for ages. Kraus tests their cartridges to make sure they’re drip- and leak-free.

2. Low-Maintenance

On the official Kraus website, you can find tips on how to care for sinks and faucets. Kraus recommends a simple wipe down using hot water only — this will get rid of stains and other buildup.

They highly advise against the use of harsh chemicals or other household cleaning products, as these could damage the finish on the faucet (1).

3. Beautiful Finishes

When looking at Kraus faucets, you’ll find multiple finishes such as stainless steel and chrome. You’ll also find more unique colors such as gold, and different combos like stainless steel and matte black.

What they all share is that they’re long-lasting and won’t scratch or stain easily. Even after a hearty Thanksgiving with the family, your faucet will look new again after a quick wipe.

4. Single Handles

Most Kraus faucets only have one handle. This makes it easier to operate as you don’t have to mix and match between cold and hot taps. They’re more exact when it comes to regulating the temperature, too

Most faucet handles use a forward rotation. This is an important feature, especially if you have limited space around the sink.

5. Easy Installment

One thing which is often pointed out is how easy it is to install a Kraus faucet. All models come with a manual to help you along, so you should be able to get the job done yourself with little effort.

Some Kraus faucets feature QuickConnect water lines. These are easily attached and won’t require tools to tighten them.
